At Veil, your safety is our top priority. We’re committed to helping you have a secure and enjoyable experience as you search for a meaningful, halal connection. Please take a moment to review these essential guidelines.
1. Staying Safe Online
Keep Your Personal Information Private
Avoid sharing personal details like your full name, phone number, email, address, or social media handles until you are completely comfortable. Your Veil profile should not include personal contact info.
Use Veil to Communicate
Keep all conversations within the app until you feel ready to meet. This helps us protect your privacy and lets us respond to reports faster.

4. Meeting Safely in Person
Meeting someone in real life can be a wonderful next step—just make sure to do it safely and in a halal way.
Get to Know Them First
Take your time chatting on Veil before agreeing to meet. Don’t feel rushed to share personal info or meet in person too soon.
Bring a Wali or Chaperone
We strongly encourage bringing your wali (guardian) or a trusted chaperone when meeting your match. This helps ensure your safety and keeps the interaction halal and respectful.
If You Can’t Bring a Wali, Inform Someone You Trust
If you’re unable to bring a wali or chaperone, make sure to tell a trusted friend or family member about your plans—who you’re meeting, where, and when you expect to return. Keep your phone charged and with you at all times.
Meet in Public Places
Choose safe, public locations like a café or museum. Avoid private homes or secluded areas for your first few meetups.
Arrange Your Own Transport
Even if your match offers you a ride, plan your own transportation. This keeps you in control of your schedule and your safety.
Trust Your Instincts
If something feels off, leave. You don’t owe anyone your time or comfort—your safety always comes first.
